MEET DATEY
Datey is a singles community created to make meeting people in real life easier again. After growing frustrated with dating apps, founder Abbey Hagan set out to create a better way for singles to connect.
What began as a simple idea to bring people together in person quickly grew into a thriving community. In its first eight months, Datey has sold over 7,000 tickets and hosted nearly 40 events.
Datey brings people together through curated social experiences designed to make meeting someone new feel natural and fun. Events range from mixers at local bars and restaurants to sporting events and activity based gatherings, all centered around helping people connect in a relaxed environment.While helping people find romantic connections is a core part of Datey, the community has expanded beyond dating as well.
Ladies Datey was created as a space for women to build friendships and community within their city. Originally founded in Dallas, Datey has expanded to host events in Fort Worth, Austin, and is continuing to grow into new cities. At its core, Datey is about bringing people together, creating real connections, and making it easier to meet your people in real life.

MEET THE FOUNDER
After being on and off dating apps since 2019, Abbey Hagan decided to take matters into her own hands. While walking the Katy Trail in Dallas, she had a simple realization: there should be a way to combine dating with something Dallasites were already doing, getting outside and walking the trail.
She shared the idea on TikTok, and it went viral overnight. From there, Datey was born.
With no background in event planning or marketing, Abbey began hosting weekly events in hopes of helping save Dallas dating. What started as a simple idea quickly turned into something much bigger. Watching Datey grow into the community it is today has been the most unexpected gift, and she wouldn’t have it any other way
While still working a 9-5, Abbey runs Datey alongside Bailey Turner, Director of Marketing and Operations. Together, they have built Datey from the ground up and created opportunities for singles across DFW to connect off the apps and in real life.

FAQ
Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?
Yes. All Datey events (including free events) require a ticket or RSVP in advance. Events often sell out, so we recommend securing your spot early.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before the event. If you are unable to attend, you may also transfer your ticket to another guest. Please check the individual event page for any additional event specific policies.
What is the dress code?
Most Datey events are casual to elevated casual. Think something you would wear to meet friends for drinks or dinner. If a specific dress code applies to an event, it will be noted on the event page.
What ages attend Datey events?
Unless otherwise noted, our events are open to all attendees over 21. We also host Datey 35+ events specifically designed for singles ages 35 and up.
Is parking available?
Parking varies by venue. Many of our events take place in popular areas where street parking, nearby garages, or rideshare options are available. We recommend arriving early and checking the venue ahead of time for parking details.
Will there be photos or videos taken at events?
Yes. Datey events may be photographed or filmed for marketing and promotional purposes. By attending a Datey event, you consent to the use of photos or videos taken during the event on Datey’s website, social media channels, and other marketing materials.
Can I come with friends?
Absolutely. Many attendees come with friends and enjoy meeting new people together. Just make sure each person has their own ticket.
I’m coming alone. Is that okay?
Of course. A large portion of attendees come solo, and our events are designed to make it easy to meet people and start conversations.
